I have been using Zaino products on my vehicles since around 2000 and went to polish up the SE on the weekend and realised that as I have matte paint, applying products meant to bring out a glossy shine might detract from the matte effect. In the end, I am after the UV protection while maintaining the matte effect.

Is the Tenni Green a true matte paint or is the effect from a modified clearcoat? I think the former from the texture.

For those of you familiar with Zaino products, this is the response I got from Sal Zaino:

"You can use Z-2, Z-5, Z-6 or Z-8
NOTE: For Flat Black or Matte Paint Systems.
Try a test spot and see if you like the look.
It will make it have a slight gloss to them.. It boils down to a
matter of personal preference. "

Anyone in the know on this?

It is clear coated with a Matte clear coat, I just forgo any type of abrasive polish or wax and use Spray Honda Bright on it for protection.

What is this 'Cleaning' of which you speak? Does it make it go faster or hold the road better or stop quicker? If not? Forget about it!

A confession Pete since new I have never taken a hose to my Tenni :ugeek:

Does anybody knows of an online place that sells this "Spray Honda Bright"?
Can't find it anywhere.
Thanks.

Zaino products are great, I have also been using them on all my vehicles since 2000. What Sal sounds correct. The Zaino may give you a bit more shine but the UV protection is worth it. I only use Zaino stuff.

I've been using Formula 2000 a Armor All type product on mine with good results. It brings the color out and protects the finish the same as it would plastic. The water really beads up on it when washed. Yes I wash mine and it has never been rained on either. The Breva gets all the rain riding, the SE gets sunny days only.
