Griso tail rack -- any online instructions?

Hi. I just received a Griso tail rack for my G1100. Everything appears to be factory sealed and (I assume) all parts are here. However, the included instructions are for the Breva V 1100, not the Griso. So of course they're useless. Are the factory instructions available online? Or has there been an installation write-up, hopefully illustrated, that someone could point me to?

Regards,
Patrick

FWIW, the nearest thing I have found so far are bits of info in this thread.

https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/163/1974.html

From what I read, the big job is to pull off the rear trim piece and drill a couple of holes in the indicated locations, and then reinstall the trim piece. And at that point the rack can simply be bolted on, using the hardware provided? I assume at this point that usage of the various bolts, spacers, and washers will be fairly intuitive.

Is removing the trim/tailight piece pretty straightforward, or is there some trick I need to know about it?

Removing the tailpiece is pretty straightforward. A bit of caution/common sense is needed in drilling the holes so as not to scratch the finish on the tailpiece in the process. You'll find the places where to drill the holes marked on the inside of the tailpiece. Make sure to use a saw drill bit (can't remember the diameter off the top of my head, I'll post it later). I also put a rubber grommet in each hole (mostly for looks).
Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Maybe it's a silly question, but do I have to disconnect the taillight wiring?

I saw this in the other thread:
While I did not have a 21mm drill bit to punch out the tail holes, a 3/4" hole bit worked perfectly.

And think I have a 3/4" hole saw (as we call them here in San Diego). I'd used them enough to know that it's best to go slowly, and maybe switch sides halfway through the process to ensure a clean edge on both sides.

And thanks for the grommet idea. I'm sure that I can find those here in town somewhere.

The bolts for mounting the sides were not long enough with my kit. I've read where others had the same problem. It looks like this is a common error from the factory.

Alright then. Thanks everyone. I'm sure I have enough info now. Sounds like a little bit of a project, but I'll just do it on a rainy day.

Something to check on the tail rack.

The stock bolts on the rear rust up pretty good because rain can sit around the bolts as there is no drain hole.

Is worth investing <$2 in stainless steel bolts to replace the stock ones.
