ME! I couldn't help myself. For a while I have been considering going down from four bikes to two, so having sold my old Norton Domminator and rekindling my love affair with my R100GS BMW I decided the Tiger 1050 will have to go. I haven't used it much over the last two years as I nearly always used the Stelvio.
Having gotten fed up trying to sell the Tiger privately I decided to swap my Stelvio and the Tiger for a new NTX, I initially thought about the 'cooking' version, but the alloy wheels just didn't do it for me, I think the laced spoked wheels look so much nicer; but hey beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I got a good deal from the shop and I've even got the Guzzi alloy panniers and Quill exhaust to flog. The bike is due on or about 5th August. I didn't contemplate another type of bike, there's nothing out there that interests me other than a Harley Road King, but I didn't want to spend any extra cash, so I thought i'd stick with a Stelvio, in a way I think I may have been seduced by the 32 litre fuel tank although I'm sure I'l never use it to it's full advantage, and the front end of the bike now looks more attractive. The Stelvio is such a perfect ride for me, it's one of the best bikes I've ever owned or ridden in 37 years of motorcycling.
