This weekend i was helping to man the Guzzi club GB stand at The BMF in Peterborough.
Next door was Haywards, a guzzi dealer.
All weekend people were looking at our bikes, especially BMW guys ogling the Breva's :)
Fired it up a few times, showed them the features, explained how good it was, and even let a few sit on it.
But all weekend, just a few yards away, IT sat.
Quietly, without any fuss, i found myself gazing at IT.
I had never really given them a good look before, as i had always thought that IT was too tall for a short arse like me.
But all weekend IT just sat there, a few yards away......
After the public had gone home i wandered over and gave IT a better look, and once i made sure no one was looking, swung a leg over IT.
I was smitten, IT felt good!
The bars were just the right height, the footpegs were lower than the Breva's, and secretly.....inside.....I knew i wanted IT :eek:hmy:
Ashamed i slid off the firm seat, after all, I was a Breva boy, happy with my new fangled guzzi.
But from then on, in quiet moments, IT entered my thoughts.

IT...........was a Stelvio

Now now Rob, if SHE finds out she'll be jealous and will probably spring a leak or deliberately pick up a sharp object in one of her tyres. You have been warned!

OTOH bigamy is allowed in Guzziland.

I suggest a trade in.

It's the only cure.

And despite the luddites and nay-sayers I still reckon the 8V is more fun than the 4V. But I'm obviously a crook with an axe to grind

Pete

Nah Pete, you just talk straight!
Don't know about a trade in just yet, think I'll wait a while for the fashion bikers to grow tired of their new toy, then pick up a bargain like i did with the Breva (3 and a half grand)
I reckon low mileage Stelvio's will start appearing on e-bay in about a years time, I can wait that long!

Just do it! Two bikes are better than one, and as I keep telling myself - bikes are like peanuts, you never really can have too many.

But you are one poor sick puppy - and I am sooooo jealous.

Jeez Rob, that reads like the start of a Mills and Boon love story.......not that I`ve ever read one of course..... someone told me what they`re like.....

Eric :)
