Always too late... but still good news;

Moto Guzzi is in the news in a critical moment for the motor-cycle sector that is going on for years, and where only a few can boast no losses of the production, falls in sales and profits. One of the few having comforting signals is Moto Guzzi. The Italian company for the first time after 4 years, received from national dealers the request for increasing the production in order to satisfy the growing demand of the last period.
The Moto Guzzi strategy, through the last models as the Stelvio 1200 8V/Ntx and the Norge GT 8V is therefore giving the first positive results.
Mauro Castelli of Fiom Cigl craft union confirms the news coming from Moto Guzzi: "Even though the two wheel market is still in the doldrums and the production of all the other motor-cycle companies is in 6% loss, the productivity of Moto Guzzi during March and April last is good and increasing. A shot in the arm that fuels the hopes for a solid recovery of all of the segment.
The uptrend of the beginning of the Spring seems to be consolidated also in the data of the first half of the year. How shall we put it? Life begins at 90.

I can't be 100% sure, but if this whole 'Premium dealership' thing exists and works the same in Italy as in France, those increased sales are for a large part floor model sales ...

That's all well and good for Europe but does not address the fact that dealers in the US have new '07, '08, '09, and '10 models on the showroom floor. As I understand it, Moto Guzzi USA has more of same too. The company must clear inventory before we can think that the problem is over.

And it will remain that way until the USD vs. Euro equalizes to bring down prices here in the States. There's no "problem" in Europe apparently. It's good news for the company regardless.
