After much deliberation i bought myself a 2009 Stelvio complete with Guzzi hard case's,engine bars and the handle bar shields, it was an ex-demo bike from the local dealers only done 1500 miles.
Only managed to clock up a couple of hundred miles on the beast so far but the grin factor from riding it is off the scale  sure is a head turner where ever you go.

FYI!!!
pay the dough for the Stucchi Luigi Bash Plate Engine Sump Protecter!!! :D
You will find out real quick what a nightmare oil changes are with the stock skid plate and engine guards. The engine guards need to be nearly removed to get the stock skid plate off!! arghh, nice going Guzzi Engineers.
Reinstalling them engine guards will quickly lead to stripped threads

I brought mine in for the 600 mile initial tune up and they ended charging me an extra hour of service for the remove / reinstall.. The Stucci plate has a large hole for the filter and the drain plug can be reached, WITHOUT REMOVING THE PLATE! :p

Enjoy!!

The Guzzi Aluminum guard appears to mount outside the crash bars. I've threatened to get it just to ease the oil change pain, but I don't really like the looks.

The Guzzi sump guard is not pretty but it is 1000% easier to mess with when changing the oil and filter. That plastic guard is a PITA to mess with when you have crash bars installed. You will loose your religon and drink a case of beer or liquor while messing with the plastic sump cover..........and that my friends makes for an expensive oil change :p :p :p

Or you can just go the plastic one with a hole-saw and make an 'ole in it you can drop the filter out of like Rosey has and any other Stelvio owner with 1/4 of a neurone.

Pete
