Hand Guards for B11

Look nice. Any thoughts on whether they'd fit the Norge?

Joe (et al), suspect the problem with all handguards not specifically designed for the Norge will be what what I encountered when I tried the Caponord ones, i.e., they look and work great ... until one turns the bars, when one discovers that they engage the fairing well before the steering-lock stop.

A fellow here (at least on the old board) had a Norge for sale with handguards mounted. I PM'd him about but he did not respond. Can't find the ad now.

I gave mine to Phil Grundy for his B11. He, in turn, gave me his B11 bag liners, which, oddly enough, sure work better than the Norge-specific ones I returned in disgust. Go figure.

Do hope someone breaks the code on Norge handguards, as those things can make all the difference in the world by permitting lighter gloves and allowing the heated grips to do their thing more effectively with greater control while riding.

Bill

Here's the first picture of the hand guards from the painters. The eagle is air brushed. I will post some more after I've collected them Saturday.

WOW, Looks fantastic. I am jealous.

Only prob might be how to avoid splattering bugs on em.

You need a handguardguard

I fitted the the Stelvio hand guards to my Breva 1100 today. The bar end adaptors ("A") can't be used as you can't remove the old inserts from the inside of the handle bars.

They where the only problems other than cutting 1/4 inch off the rubber mirror bolt cover. here's the finished job, fantastic, if I ride fast enough I'm sure I'll miss those bugs!!!!!

They look really good. I have mine on order, no idea when they are going to arrive though....

As an aside, how have you found the Laminar Lip? I've got one, but haven't fitted it yet, (part 3 of my off season upgrades....), has it worked well for you?

they look good, could you post a close up pic, looking from behind the hand guard.
cheers

It seem to be an improvement, I've only been out localy a couple of times since fitting it, but I didn't use my ear plugs which I had to use all the time before so its looking good. Regards, Richard.

Thanks for the posts Richard, I think this may be a popular way forward for the hand guard fitment. I'm hoping the laminar lip works well for me too, as that screen can get a bit noisy!!

Roll on summer.......
