Handlebar Risers

Thanks for your reply. I don't have a mill so I doubt I could modify them. I do have a few end mills, a heavy duty drill press and a vise but I don't think this is good enough to a proper job. My bike is a special edition with a numbered plate. I would hate to ruin it. I guess I will stick it in the box with the plaque. I wasn't really interested in a special edition, I just liked the color, graphics and the link to the founders of the company. I don't need to rush into anything no long trips planned for the rest of the year.

I'll be there. It is only a days ride for me and not a terribly long one. At least I will be on a Guzzi and not a Triumph. How about you? 😁

That's a good question , it's a kinda long one day ride , pretty doable on the Le Mans 2 , but after this last trip , I might
still take the Peterbuilt if I think I might arrive after sundown . That last occasion a few weeks ago with a deer made me
glad to be on that bike , but who knows . Do deer whistles really work ? Peter

The CHP did an study a number of years ago and concluded that they had a minimal effect. I have read and personally found that a change in engine sound alerts them if they are grazing on the side of the road. So if you let off the throttle alerts them to possible danger and they may bolt across the road. If they are crossing all bets are off. My wife has a friend who hit one while he was traveling at 70mph. He was wearing an inflatable vest, he says it prevented severe injury. He did suffer a couple of broken ribs but otherwise in good condition. My wife nagged me until I got one also.

Guess I'm pretty lucky , I hit mine at about 50mph and all I noticed was a tender shoulder that was gone
the next day . Though I did notice that birds on the return trip (with the deer whistles) were fleeing when
I got a few hundred yards from them. :) Peter

I s it possible for you to provide a link or further information to the actual product you purchased. I found a few that used a top plate but spacing is a concern. Nothing came up for the the Mandello. There were a lot of pages to try and go through. Thanks in advance for any help.

No hyperlinks here please. No need to promote yet more business to China.

Sorry. Don't want to buy from them, haven't ever anyway nor that other big company in the USA. Lesson learned.

I just got the adjustable ones from Rox. They work well but look a bit funky. One I get them adjusted where I like them I may replace them with fixed ones with the same rise and set back. I also had to get the shiny ones but I have a sand blaster and may hit them with that. I will try an inconspicuous spot first.
