Anyone got a proven method of retaining the little MG badges on the cylinder heads

Got 2 second hand ones and the plug covers of ebay, they felt quite secure but 40 miles into a ride this morming (mainly motorway and I notice the rh one was missing again

Its not like they are cheap either

At the first chance I stopped took the remaining one off to save loosing that as well.

Would a bit of velco glued in place work or do we just live without them?

Try a dab of high temp silicone under the badge. But you might have a problem lifting the badge later... Maybe just a thin ribbon around the edge pressed in the gap then wipe the top clean.

Lost my rh one today. Rang Gutsibits to howl at the price (£13+ ) of a new one who said "yeah, it's plastic - but it's Italian plastic." Irrefutable logic.

Ride more slowly, maybe badge will not fall off. Not an option.

I got my 2 new ones from Ebay with the cable covers for around £15 from the dealers that selling all the Stelvio parts in the UK.
Also got a rear caliper as the top mounting thread on the fixed side is a bit soft, planning to just swap the fixed mount over and leave the hydraulic bit intact.

Got some other spares from AJ Sutton, they list most items but they arrive from Piaggio, the last parts I bought took 6 weeks!!!

I have some replacements that are aluminium with 2 button head screws in them to replace the factory ones so they fit on either side.and since they are screwed on they do not get lost. bright aluminium with ss screws. they do not have any logo on them though. They do look like a factory part and fit any 8v plug wire cover.

neat little part

And where did you get them from?

Here ya go shown in silver, you are able to get these from Todd. He offering them in the store:

silver in place (sorry camera phone pic)

These are unisex so they will go on either side and look the same, probably supply in silver so you could paint what ever color suits if silver is not the choice, I may have anodized clear , and some black. but that really puts the cost up.
