Headlight protection

John in PA said:
If stone chips are the concern, what about the self-adhering vinyl(?) ones that you cut to shape for whatever application? They'd prevent stone chips and not affect light output. I think twistedthrottle and other cycle mart sites have them.

Tried it. The complex curve makes it nearly impossible to get it to lay flat.

Maybe someone with experience could have done it.

I for one think we may have sparked a new bike product here.
(Under wire arrangement, Wire mesh, complex curves)

After excessive marketing research I’ve found something that is sold for cars that can be easily adapted on bikes ….. based on the Car Bra this product can be called the Bike Bra. (B.B. for short)
When bugs and dirt hits the front end it’s a pain trying to clean the miniature road kills right. Instead this item can be placed over the headlights and can also protect the sides.

I have attached a prototype of what it will look like.

So what do you think? :*
Like one member stated it will give the bike a bit more of an 'adventure' look
Anyone in …..? :woohoo:

No pun intended ......Sorry guys it's the freaked cold weather that's getting to me.

That needs to go in the 'sagging headlights' thread.

Speaking of headlights, Wayne, I noticed the auxiliary lights you have on your Stella in your profile pic. What kind are they? They look very good on the Stelvio.

I think they are called KC Highlighters, or some such.
Picked them up at the local auto parts place for about $39.
