how bad is it on the legs? Thinking about buying Griso in spring, this is one of the remaining questions for me.

It's a non-issue unless you're in crawling traffic in the peak of the Summer in stock trim. If you correct the fueling with a Performance re-flash and ditch the cat-con plug of a muffler, it's even better. In just over a decade, I've logged well over 300k miles on Guzzis, and the design/lay out of the engine is it's beauty in simplicity. In the cooler months, you'll favor it over most other brands as it has built in hand-warmers.

Agreed!

I was surprised to hear from some other riders that they had issues with too much heat on the legs with their bikes that were not guzzis - had to do with fairing design. I've ridden through the NV desert plenty of times - even Death Vally once - no problem with a 32" inseam.

If you do the fueling correction when the bike is new you can save the good looks of the headers too.

Has not been an issue for me - even in searing Georgia summer heat - unless sitting for prolonged periods - and in those instances everything else is roasting too :) .
As Todd mentioned above, with an ECU re-flash and after market pipe, the bike runs significantly cooler making this a non-issue.
My wife's Ducati Monster throws off 10 times the heat my Griso does!

Do you have a FAQ on your power mods I keep reading about? If not, maybe add it to the GT Products section [with prices]? It's a little difficult to grasp for a newbie like me what the options are out there.

Edit: Search does wonders

let me say I'm in Phoenix, AZ and my 3 liquid cooled motorcycles were hotter than my Griso. That said, my Griso was really hot before. The stock exhaust cooked my foot and the heads cooked my knees... I fixed the fueling with Todd's ECU reflash and PCV/Autotune and Right side exhaust and intake mod. The motor cooled drastically as I found out that the griso runs crazy lean for EPA under 5k and crazy rich over. not a good combo.

Plus I wear an aerostitch in the summer too... a http://www.texascoolvest.com helps in crazy heat keeping the core cool at 65 degrees for 2.5hrs and recharges in 30 minutes in the freezer for the next ride.
