Greetings people. I'm Paul. I've yet to add a Guzzi to my little fleet, but I intend to correct this very soon by acquiring a Norge for a spot of touring later in the year. I currently own a KTM 950SM, a Husaberg FE400, an Aprilia Pegaso 650 (all very non standard) and I'm in the midst of building a Norton rotary special based around an IP2.
Thanks for accepting me into your community.

Cheers... Paul

Thanks for your reply Raven. Honestly, I don't yet know. Most likely it'll depend entirely what I find on the market locally, but are there any strong reasons why I should choose one over the other? For example, I remember reading somewhere that the 8V motor is a little fragile. I've no idea if this is actually true yet, and I hope to find out courtesy of this 'ere forum.

Any advice?

Cheers... Paul

There's lots of good reading pro and con for both models on this forum. The 8V is not the least bit fragile as long as it has been "rollerized".
I ride a 2012 Norge GT 8V and it has been as dependable and tough as an old Honda. I'm at about 70,000 km now.

Roller tappets?

Edit: just had a cruise through a few threads... very interesting. Thanks for the 'heads-up'.
