Hi All,

Brief bio; I'm 51, been riding 35+ years, (less a couple of gaps where family and life got in the way) mainly Hondas, but my last 3 bikes were new BMWs , R1150RT/R1150GSA/K1200GT, I also still occasionally ride as part of my job a R1150GS and R1200GS.

A couple of years ago I got fed up with BMWs dismal service and attitude, as well as getting my wallet reamed regularly, :eek:hmy: so I convinced myself that at my age (51 now) all I needed was a big scooter and bought a Scarabeo 500, brilliant scoot, did the shopping on it, went to the beach, cruised at 140kmh/85mph 2 up with no problem and maxed out at 160kmh/100mph....BUT it wasn't a big bike (you know what I mean)

Last weekend my local Aprillia/MG manager gave me a Stelvio to demo for the weekend...Loved the sound, the comfort was amazing and the OEM screen the best I've had on any bike, even my wife said it was very comfortable  .
The demo was an 08 and IMHO the power was in the wrong place for an Adventure class bike, nothing much before 5500rpm, also it seemed to run wide on bends.
However it seems the power is spread in the 09 and setting it up for the twisty stuff is part of the fun. :side: I hope!

So here I am, expecting to pick her (new NTX ...TT in the US) up in 4 days. :)

I've been lurking here all weekend and must say what a great site for Guzzi info this place is! B) So I've made a donation and I'll be hanging about a lot and asking dumb questions, I promise to only ask them once though

hi Bluntly

Greetings to Sunny Cyprus!

Hi Dimitris!

Kalimera to you and Greece :D

I see you've got a good Guzzi community in Greece, maybe you could bring a bunch over and get the locals to see there's more to life than Harleys, Ducatis and BMWs!

(Well you could if somebody would get the bloody ferry running again!)
