Hi Everyone,
I purchased a new V100S on December 15, 2023, and due to it being wintertime and parts and accessories being on backorder I'm still waiting to bring my first Guzzi home. Hopefully by sometime in March.
I started riding in the summer of 1966 and it stayed that way until the winter of 2014. I was ejected from a dump truck and I've been recovering for almost 10 years. As soon as I was given the green light I started looking at new motorcycles and that's when I discovered the V100S, and fortunately, there's a great Moto Guzzi dealership within an hour's drive from my home. Glad to be here and can't wait to start wearing out some tires!

Awesome story... congrats and welcome to the GT Forum and the to the Guzzi Famiglia! Hope you'll add your info to our Registry linked below once you have it and a photo or two of you and the bike. Appreciate any purchases from the (GTM) STORE tab linked at the top of every page. Enjoy the site here and the bike... sure you will. See you here often. Cheers!

Welcome from the top of Virginia ... and congratulations on your new Mandello and your return to riding.

I am down your way frequently en route to visit grandkids in Wendell, N.C. My Perfect Pillion & Polish Princess usually slabs itso she has more time with the little fecals, but, weather-permitting (and even when it isn't ;)), I ride.

Apropos weather, I think that the wettest I've ever been on a motorcycle -- and there's lots of competition for that  -- was last year between Chase City and Clarksville on SR 49. Cars were pulled over but I stupidly rode on. This was where I gave up trying to dry a bit. Lordy.

I vary the route, and try to avoid the long, boring drone down 15 to Farmville from Dillwyn, so the Powatan-Burkeville-Victoria leg is one of those.

I'll mention here when next your way, so maybe you can ride with me a bit -- while I try to keep up with your V100! -- and show me some local roads I've missed. I'll then buy you lunch at the best greasy-spoon diner in the area :giggle: and I'll listen to how you were ejected from a dump truck!

Sounds like a plan Bill, and I'll take you up on that just as long as it isn't pouring buckets of rain lol.
You must like hearing about miracles because, how I got ejected from a dump truck to riding a new Mandello is miraclous!
