Die hard petrol head, been on mopeds since 1976... never had a car. Long story short: bought a very low mileage Moto Guzzi Nevada 2002 in August to replace a Royal Enfield which I'd had for 18 years. Enfield had electrical issues beyond my abilities and decided it had to go. Wanted the carburetor, not fuel injected model, felt instantly like home, surprisingly same feeling on Nevada besides more power, to be honest, being 6ft 2" the saddle could be higher but that will be put right during winter by my favorite upholsterer. Always fancied Guzzis, but I remember a couple of decades ago sitting on a Le Mans noticing this is not the riding posture I could keep! Nevada shares my garage with a 1983 BMW R100RS.

Tervetuloa, Jojje.

FWIW, ALL electrical issues are beyond my abilities. :giggle:

Bill

Thank you! Well I decided someone else - in this case an eager colleague ripped off his bikes by a divorce - shall change the wiring harness..! Compared to Enfield, Guzzi electrics look very neat.

Congrats and welcome. Hope you'll add your info to our Registry linked below. See you mostly in that section, though you'll find some useful info in the main section as well. Cheers.

No duffle no panniers 1987

My V65Sp ate a valve on New Year's, 2020. The right head and cylinder have been replaced, and the bike is s-l-o-w-l-y being made roadworthy again. I hope to put some miles on it in 2024. Meanwhile, I have my 1964 BMW R69S and 1956 Harley KHK to enjoy. BTW, the Guzzi now has removable fabric panniers that enhance the long trip / camping experience. This fine machine had carried me and gear for over 30 years across the USA and was not troubled by mountains or off road experiences. It is a great bike. I hope it can be returned to its former glory.
