Hi, I'm Simon from South Bucks in the UK.
I bought my first Guzzi, an 1100 Sport six years ago, but as old age and general decrepity creep up on me, I've treated myself to a 2006 Griso as a 50th birthday present to myself. The riding position of the Griso is much more "old geezer" friendly than my old bike, but I can't help thinking that it ain't as fast as the Sport.
It's more of a seat of the pants feeling than anything, but I was always able to easily keep up with my mate's little sports car (Caterham R300) on our Sunday morning blasts, but now he's leaving me behind!!
Surely, the more modern Griso has to be a faster bike.
I promised the boss I'd sell the old one to help fund the Griso, but I'm thinking now, I might have to renege on my promise and keep it after all!! If I hide it in the corner of the garage, she'll never notice.......

The sport and the 2 valve Griso both have approx 90 horsepower but the sport has a little more torque and is very slightly lighter! However one big difference we cannot measure is your pie intake!

Wouldn't it be a bugger of ya mate forgot to mention the misses hairdryer he just fitted to the exhaust manifold.

I say sell the sport and invest in some of Todds BST wheels and Matris suspension :D
AND DON'T TELL YA MATE!
