Cruisin' Guzzisti
Yes, I'd fitted a new crossover a year ago, wanting to not deviate too far from standard spec. But after I discovered the flexible hose inside the cloth braiding had hardened and fractured I modified my outlook and found a better solution. Lots'o'folk run a single pipe from tap to carb, and that's what I did to get me out of strife, but I wanted to retain the flexibility of only having to fumble for one reserve tap when I needed it most.
So I sourced some double banjos (be careful or else you'll go cross-eyed and inbred, and have troublin' thoughts 'bout your sister) from Thunderbikes and hey, presto problem solved. Good, modern thick wall tubing that's tolerant of modern fuels and plenty of scope for favourable routing, and easy replacement.
