I have a new (leftover) '08 1200 Sport which just had the 625 mi service done last week. I've ridden about 250 mi since then and just noticed today the little spanner icon below the odometer. I assume this is there to remind me to have the service done. Was the mechanic supposed to reset this? It may not have been there when he performed the service, as today is the 1st time I've noticed it.
Anyone know how I can reset this myself?

First get the service code. It is posted on this forum as a sticky I believe in the CARC section. The download the 1100 Breva general service manual. I believe it tells you how to do the reset. It is in the menu in diagnostics. Once you have the service code and enter it, you can reset the service icon. Yes the tech should have reset it if it was on when he did the service. You cannot reset the interval until the icon appears.

My 2010 Griso's service icon is reset by accessing the diagnostics menu and entering "12425" and then selecting "Reset Service".
I imagine your Sport is very similar and possibly uses the same code.

John, the post you directed me to mentions a "button" or "joystick". My bike has a button on the front of the left hand grip control that is used to toggle thru the functions. Is this what they are referring to? I sure can't find any "joystick".

That is the button - press it the required number of times for the first digit, then hold it until it goes to the next digit - repeat until you are into the menu...
