Well, I did it. After years of saying I'd own a Guzzi someday, I entered the secret world of Moto Guzzi Thursday with the purchase of a Stelvio from Ducati Austin. I must say I'm a little concerned about the parts counter guy's lack of familiarity with the bike when I asked for a filter, crush washers and fluids for the first service. I did manage to get a $20 oil filter and a $20 bottle of 75W-90 gear oil. :woohoo: I have since ordered 10W-60 oil, crush washers and filters from MG Cycle for a fraction of the cost. Can anyone tell me where to order a service manual? I've found the User's Manual online, but the dealer tells me the service manual is not available.

Back to the bike. I've only managed a couple of hundred miles so far, but my ear-to-ear grin hasn't faded yet. I also spent two hours with a heat gun removing stickers! Plans are to mount a cross bar on the bars to hold a GPS, Purchase Hepco-Becker side racks and eventually mount Caribou cases. I already have H-B luggage on my Buell Ulysses, so they can share for the moment. I'd like to order M-G accessories as well, but the Stelvio isn't even listed on the USA site, what's up with that? Anyway, I look forward to meeting you guys and picking your brains for advice.

Hey Kurt, welcome to the fold! Be sure to cross post to the MG-Stelvio section as well. Now that I have your photo, how about the rest of your info for the Modern Registry <- Click. Send to me direct to; Todd at GuzziTech.com

You will find that Piaggio U.S. is painfully behind in everything Guzzi. You will find that those here are far more helpful in helping you get things done. Post often, and I'll be watching for your Registry info soon. ;)

Congrats again!
