Just got back from a tour around some WW1 battlefields in France and Belgium, Ypres, Somme etc.
My new Hyperpro kit arrived the day before i left, so i had time to fit the front fork springs.
I am amazed, the bike now handles just the way it should, and coped so well with european highways, gravel backwoods tracks, and everything in between.
Looking forward to fitting the rear spring soon.
Thanks Todd, one happy customer! :)

Bugger me, arrived day before and fitted same day, off on a trip the next!! Can I get you to put mine in, I have had them sitting on the sideboard for months to remind me they are there and haven't been able to put together a full day for the install.

Go on Mike, stick em in, the front springs only took an hour a side, and you will really notice the difference!
No more fork dropping when you take the bike off the centre stand, and it really firms up the ride.
I only needed to do 4 turns of the preload adjusters to get it nice and smooth.

Forgot to mention that the YSS PD Valve thingys are also there and that means drilling holes and machining.

For sure I am looking forward to getting him off the centre stand without worrying if I can stop him from getting away from me...

Rob: Only 4 turns with the Hyperpro kit! That's outstanding. How much do you weigh?

I weigh 14 stone, and thats 4 turns from fully closed (no preload)
Those springs really firm up the front end but still give you enough travel to take the jolts out of the ride.

I weigh about 0.5 stone less (190 pounds or 86kg) with my riding kit on and I run my front 5 turns from full hard and it rides much better. I also have the cartridge emulators with the springs installed by Todd. As delivered it was a touch stiff but I played with the setting and got it where I like it. It must be me as I thought the HyperPro shock as delivered was stiff and backing it off 2 turns on the spring put it where it feels right to me. Prior to that both the forks and shocks were jarring me on expansion joints.

I believe that it took me about four hours to do both front forks. Of course it took me a few months of putting this off due to my apprehension about machining it the right way. It sure has transformed the handling on that bike. I recently had an opportunity to ride a friends stock early 07 and it was like night and day compared to my 07 with the Hyperpro front and back.
