I say burn the thing!

Hi Alan, I believe it disrupts the air flow along with unburnt fuel, and impedes the injection system. I will try to load a file from "Tech Bulletin 005" dated 29oct 2010. They recommend they are cleaned at every service interval. If you cant open the file I can email it to you. Kevin

Got it. Thanks.

Thanks Canuck I'll go over everything once the dark disappears this side. I'm maybe not the guru of tuning but have enough experience to not be clueless. I'll retrace my steps and the system in total. Somewhere something ain't happy. I've owned heaps of bikes and this one is taking up too much of my time or so it seems. Try and try again I suppose.

Any updates to the idling issue??

Many thanks for posting the service bulletin. Apologies for my ignorance, but I would be grateful if you could please let me know what components you normally need to remove in order to gain access to these inlet tracts on the Breva 1100.

I perform all the normal servicing activities but have always been reluctant to disturb more than is necessary. In the past I have only wiped inside the inlet tract as far as practical with just the petrol/gas tank and air filter element removed. I also generally visually inspect the tracts with a mirror which, in hindsight, is only good enough for spotting major problems.

Cheers, Mick.
