Anyone fixed the fling issue from the back tyre?

I have a hugger fitted which keeps the shock clean(ish), but last weekend it was only a little damp but the roads are dirty from the winter and the top box was covered in crud as would have been my wife if not for the topbox.

Anyone tried something like the GS has? Would one fit readily?

This is a problem I am confronting also - and a solution I've been looking at as well! I have very recently installed the Skidmarx Norge/1200/Sport hugger and have yet to have my passenger astride the beauty, so I can't say for certain how it functions. I assume this is the one you're sporting as well, and my results will be similar to yours. However, here is proof Guzzi is at least somewhat aware of the problem, (page down about 2/3 of the way for the best look)

but of course the concept final drives look completely different from mine and yours... How can we get someone to pay attention to this oversight on the Stelvio???

Stucchi Luigi do this number plate holder for the Griso

I suspect it would fit the Stelvio ok because they are both CARC back ends... Saying that, I dont know if the Griso has a smaller rear wheel or not... This is the nearest to the GS style guard that I have seen...

They also do this hugger which is different to the others I have seen.

I have two mates with BMW GS's and one with a Tiger 955 who have used a cleverly cut piece of UPVC plastic guttering attached to the bottom of the numberplate to stop the spray going all over the back of the bike.

I think I will give it a go on my Stelvio and will post pictures when complete.

I am fitting my new, narrower, rear wheel with Tourances today. I am looking forward to seeing if it 'lightens up' the handling at all? I missed my winter trip to the Isle of Mull on the Stelvio last week as the tyres were late coming. Road tyres wouldnt have been good enough for the rough back roads and occassional snow. Had a hoot on my Elefant tho' (what a bike)!!!

cheers
