I’m having a hard time identifying this Milano . It has a red tank and aluminum fenders and it seems to be the lightest weight of all the V sevens. This color was not offered or aluminum fenders. Anyone know if this might be a custom? Or what the story is? This is my first Guzzi.

That is not a stock tank color or logo. Definitely been repainted. Was it sold as new? The tanks occasionally arrive damaged in transit, and/or that dealers often play musical chairs with tanks to satisfy customers.
Does the top bar clamp say Milano?

Top bar clamp does not say Milano, also what about the fenders being aluminum?

I was wrong, the Milano does not have a bar clamp notifier like the other special models do. Since I have to pay per word, I can’t see the rear fender or wheels, and you didn’t answer on where you bought it. New or used?
The seat stitching and dual gauges along with the chrome exhaust and side covers likely means the tank was swapped or painted.

Sorry, had a service call, my job gets in the way sometimes, I bought it used at a dealership, they didn’t know much about it, it was traded in, thinking about the tracking down original owner to get a history.

OK, no worries. Time is valuable. Let us know what you find. What dealer?

Funny…I came across this bike last year on that dealer’s website and was struck by the red tank on a Milano (that and the high asking price, at least at the time).

They came down in cost but this was the one on my list to own. My bikes the Guzzi, Honda cb1100, and the Bonnie.

Milano has aluminum (or metal) fenders. Looks like yours is a Milano except that it has a red tank and Moto Guzzi logo stickers on the tank instead of the badges. I would agree with Todd that someone painted the tank red. Stock V7 III's red paint is matte, not glossy.
