anyone used ikons on there 2004 750 breva my stock shocks are pretty bad and I'm looking for replacements. It's a daily driver with 42000 miles.

Not IKON's but Wilbers. Nicely made, and seems to be of a better - much better - quality than the OEM. Guess the've got about 40000 kms by now. They are also serviceable.
Todd are purchasing YSS shocks. Said to be good, but no personal experience.
Fournales are also an option, but Lawrence at the MGCGB forum seems to have a bad experience with those.

Adding my 2 cents worth, recently put about 2000mi on a new V7C with the Ikons, I can recommend the Ikons as providing a slightly more supple ride. The original Sachs shocks I thought was very good for a stock shock, It seems stiff at first but breaks in and performs pretty good. With a new shock you should get a spring matching your weight, solo or 2up and that alone should make quite a difference since a stock spring is obviously a compromise. also the dampening adjustment of the ikons provides something the stock Sachs does not. The design of the shock mount on the Guzzi is tricky, make sure any new shock will fit properly. Good Luck

Base Ikons are the equivalent to OEM replacements. They do make aluminum bodied versions, but they are minimally "better." I sell/offer HyperPro, Wilbers and YSS. For a complete list of twin shock variables (with user opinions), see this list on GuzziTech.

OK now I'm more messed up then before I asked. One of the main reasons to go with the Ikon was the dealer is right here in San Francisco and said I 'd have them in 3-4 weeks
Next question is the front end . Called Race Tech and they didn't have anything off the shelf but if I sent my forks down they would upgrade them for about 475.00.
I truly like the bike and I'm willing to put hte money in it. Just need to get it all done so we can go to thr Moto gp in July

What would Race Tech do to the forks?
I cannot see ther's much to do than changing the springs, clean and refill with maybe another viscosity of fork oil?
445 US$ should be equal to €350. A pair of new springs are €100, Wilbers or Wirth, oil is maybe €10, and it's a 2 hour DIY-job.

Just in case..

Sorry for the confusion, but good to know the options, yes? I can get you the YSS RZ or RG 302 shocks is about a week or two. What are you hoping to spend?

RaceTech is likely going to re-spring and "re-valve" since they'll tell you that their "Gold Valve emulator" doesn't fit/work once they have them. Been there, done that with my Cali forks back in '02.
I can do the same for you with the HP Fork Springs, and YSS PD valves for @$395+ shipping. Happy to fill you in more direct e-mail; Todd at GuzziTech.com
