Installing Motobatts battery

Those of you with Motobatts- how are you connecting the leads? The goofy little copper tabs on the Motobatt are way too small for the big, beefy Griso leads. I'm planning on fabricating a couple of copper 'extenders' that will angle out and over the battery to give me more clearance and surface area to work with, but I'm wondering if I'm missing something obvious.

Here is the little bracket received with my new Motobatt.
Of course, it is minus the cut out to mount the original battery securing strap.
Sometimes, you can't get the right thing, no matter how hard you try :(

Thank you for the photo... yeah, I may need to do something about the tie-down, too. I loved my Motobatt on my Triumph, but it was a literal drop-in replacement there. It better be awesome on my Guzzi for all the hassle!

Felt guilty about not having a hold down clamp. Here's a quick and dirty one you can make and fit in 20 minutes.
Cut to shape and bent, 2mm steel sheet, plenty strong enough.

O-rings were fitted to the back side of the screws to prevent them falling off when fitting and removing. A countersink has been added to prevent the o-rings from possibly breaking.

The original plastic bracket achieves this with the recess for the mounting screws.
Will never win a pretty award.

Hope this helps.
