I had the headers off my 1200 sport and was surprised at the blue color of the valve and how clean the exhaust port was.(The color in the picture is a true representation) I have done 64000 klms and bike is still running great. Has anyone else noticed this on there bikes or explain the blue color.?? P1030447 Ex port 1 P1030447 Ex port 1

What colour would you like if not blue? Some additives in your fuel could change things. To me it looks good. I note you are using Real Gaskets, I purchased some but ended up tossing them - went for the green 1100 gaskets which are now on their 4th re-use.

Blue is fine with me-looks cool. Just thought it was a bit different than anything i had seen before and was interested in Android's and anyone else's explanation. The "real gaskets" work fine as long as the gasket and mating surfaces are cleaned with thinners and a little loctite put on screws to stop them loosening as they are only torqued down to a few pound's.

I use the real Gaskets on my Griso and the wife's V11. They work well. Very easy to get on and off and they have never leaked on me.
