Since I replaced my voltage regulator, and TPS and ECU (ECU & TPS due to overcharging) my Jackal gets only about 23 MPG, and used to get 45-50mpg...
Can the TPS not being correctly adjusted cause that?
Or should I be looking for something else?

Any thoughts appreciated....

It absolutely could. Does it run OK? Plug burn color?

You'll need a voltmeter or the VDST Kit to set the TPS.

Huck,

TPS should read about 0.524 volt at idle. Back probe pins one and three at the TPS with a good DVM to get the reading. If the throttle stop screw has been messed with, see the VDSTS thread for how to baseline the TPS. If necessary, it will give you an excuse to ride to Huntsville, or Lexington. I can fill Roy in on how to set it up.

Thanks for the reply's....
If I had a meter that was accurate enough I'd adjust it, but mine doesn't seem to do the trick.

As for how's it run...I've adjusted it "By Ear" so that it no longer pops, or backfires right off idle, and runs well over all, sometimes the idle doesn't drop down all the way, but sometimes it does...I haven't checked the plug color, but will do that tonight.
The pipes do seem to be turning a little darker.

The more you adjust by ear, the worse it will become. The FI bikes with the 15M really need to be set to specification. Also with VDSTS you can adjust the trim to lean out the mix somewhat. Mix adjustment can only be accomplished electronically.

Just an update,
Road down to the European Rider Rally in Burkesville, KY last Saturday, and I'm definitely getting better mileage since adjusting the TPS, and Syncing the Throttle bodies...
I'm still getting some slight popping back at lower RPM's, I guess the Air screws need some tweeking, so I'll keep at it

Huck,

I appropriated this information from the guys an MPH. It once resided on their web site as an HTML page. Lots of good information for the 16M. 15M and P8 bikes. Todd, Mike, if you object to the file here let me know and I will remove it.
