Has anybody used a K&N oil filter on the NORGY? If Im right it should be HP 1003, I crossed it over from Marks list, I want the nut on the bottom of the filter My last 14 flute filter didt work with my 14 flute wrench. And that DRIPS! Mike

K&N doesn't recommend a filter for Guzzi. Since they don't recommend a filter for Guzzis, they say don't use a K&N on one. You may want to try the Bosch 3330. Torque the filter to 15Nm.

My list says to use a HP 1002. You may want to use a cross reference chart to double check.

I've used the Bosch 3330 but lately have used the 3400. It has a little more capacity yet does not extend past the bottom of the pan. Easier to get to and get off also.

I believe the Norge uses the same filter as the other big Guzzi's. That would mean that a K & N HP1002 would be a cross reference to the WIX filter that I usually run.
I am not surprised that K & N does not put the effort into testing to confirm that their filter works on a Guzzi. There is no money there.

I use the K&N HP1002. It is the cross-reference for the filter designed to fit the Toyota 4.7 ltr V8. The Toyota V8 filter is the one that MG has been reported as installing on current 1200s.

Mike,

My last filter didn't work with the wrench either?! And it drips! I'm using the wrench from MG Cycle and UFI filters, and it always worked before. It sort fo fits, but when you try to torque it it slips and will only go so tight. Did they change the filters I wonder?
