Spendier - at least using today's currency conversion - than I'd hoped. 15770 Sterling....over $25k US.

Still beautiful. Ash's only criticism? Fuel range. Test bike averaged just over 31 mpg. Hopefully that increases as the bike loosens up.

If that is the US price, I doubt many, if any, would sell. You could get the Harley Davidson Road King for less, and their fuel economy is much better.

You can't use what a bike sells for in another country and extrapolate the US price by simply using the exchange rate.

This will come in far less than $25k in the United States.

Yes I agree - you can't use a direct currency conversion to extrapolate a US price. I mentioned that only as a point of reference. MSRP in the UK equates to $25K....in the UK. But in my opinion, using the UK price as a guesstimate, it's highly unlikely the bike will be priced less than 20 grand in the states. May easily be worth it on paper compared to direct competition, but real market conditions and buyer habits aren't on paper...

EDIT: For the record, I hope this bike is a serious success in the US. I want to see Moto Guzzi do well. Just very curious to see how the sales fare. Very small numbers when compared to HD will be a success for Piaggio, but the cruiser market is defined by Harley Davidson, with most other comers competing on price. It will be interesting...

Guzzi should price them at break-even $11000, take it through the nose, and GET THEM ON AMERICAN ROADWAYS....otherwise, import only 50 of 'em @ $20000, because that's all that will sell at that price....C'mon Piaggio, do something daring- UNDERPRICE THEM....GET THEM ON THE ROAD.....MAKING A STATEMENT...........photographically at least, they DO have a presence....Good luck....Stelvio owner

I just noticed no one had updated this thread with the prices - US MSRP is 17,990 for the touring model, 14,990 for the custom. Seems like they heard some of the thoughts expressed here...
