Hi guys,
Recently I bought Lafranconi silencers for my Custom.
They came without DB killers, previous owner does not have them.
Can someone please share some pictures and basic dimensions if you have DB killers removed.
I sent an email to Lafranconi but they replied to check with Moto Guzzi dealer and that is not a good solution.
I plan to make them on my own.
Attached some pics for the reference.
Thanks in advance
Dario

I owned at least 4 sets of Lafranconi exhausts if not more, and have never heard of DB killers in their pipes nor have I ever seen one in 40 years.

This is news to me.

I went searching the internet and as expected, there is no mention of any such thing anywhere. You are the only source I could find that mentions any such thing.

Honestly, the propeller or “whizzer” has been a fundamental design of these pipes since way back when I used them on my earliest LeMans and California 1100i. That component was never removable. It was welded in place.

I honestly think you are mistaken. You will not find such a thing and this is why they sent you to a dealer because I am sure the Lafranconi factory probably has no idea what you are talking about.

I know I sure don’t. Sorry.

Are you sure you didn’t buy a Chinese “knock off” of a real Lafranconi exhaust? Do you have a picture of the Lafranconi stamp on the side of the exhaust canister?

Yep,
Original Lafranconi,Moto guzzi...
You can see the pictures attached, with db killer and without.
They are put in place with round clip and it is welded from the factory so that you"can't"remove them so they come with homologation.
Most of the owners remove them and they are to loud for my taste and for the yearly inspection.

As I suspected. I have never seen one removed here in the USA and they were never designed to be removed. Sorry, I cannot help you here and I really doubt anybody in the USA will be able to as I have described why.

Good luck to you. 😄
