I don't know if anyone's still checking this thread, but I'd like to enquire about availability, please e-mail me directly at famo@aol.com, if that's ok.

I'm gearing up for a Trans-Labrador trip!

Thanks so much,

Jesse

If anyone else is interested, I can still add them. Contact me ASAP.

I finally got around to installing my NTX rear wheel yesterday, mounted up Tourance skins front and rear.

Boy what a difference in handling on the street with the 150 rear wheel. All you need to do is look into a corner and thing falls right down into it, no horsing like with the 170 rear.

BTW, I had heard horror stories of removing the rear brake rotor (i.e., having to apply heat to the bolts), none required, they backed out of the old wheel easy.

I really liked the bike before, now I'm in lust with the bike......need to find me some dirt this weekend :p

Kurt,

Thanks very much for posting! Any other tidbits of advice about removing the rear wheel/disconnecting final drive...? I will have a friend help me who's an excellent mechanic, but could use tome MG/Stelvio tips if applicable.

I hope my wheel will arrive soon. Any news Todd?? :side:

Just be sure to use a good quality tool to remove / install the brake rotor and you should be fine. I had no issues when changing mine out... using a manual impact driver and good quality key it came off without rounding or otherwise damaging any of the bolts. Removing the rear wheel can be done without removing the caliper but you may find it easier to take it off first. Torque specs can be found on the download page.

Excellent, thanks very much for the information. Where is the download page in this forum?

Todd,

I sent you a PM but just in case, if it's not too late... NTX wheel, please.

Rick, got your note and replied, thanks.

Has anyone calculated the load difference between the US standard 5.5" rear wheel versus the NTX 4.5" rear wheel? Or can one simply take the NTX numbers from the Italian Guzzi site and use it for US Stelvio's that have switched to the narrower wheel? Do all Stelvio's weigh the same regardless of the country where they are sold?

I just go 4000 mi out of my first Continental Road Attack. I'd sure like to get a narrower wheel and try the Battle wings I use on my old Vstrom. Usually around 10K mi on them.
