Leak down test

Gday In the effort to eradicate the nomadic T/B vacume on my 06 1100 Griso I mapped the cam profile and found considerable differences between the two sides. I also did a leak down test (cost 48 AU $ to make the tester) and found the LHS losing pressure through the bore/rings. I will do the test again with a bigger compressor as mine only delivers 100 PSI for about 30 seconds or so. Provided my bores are not worn/damaged should I be able to simply replace the rings or what is the procedure with Nikasil barrells? Now is the time to fix the fuelling issues.

We are only 600 or so km's North of Pete,or a phone call, for which I owe the man litres of beer already. While it would be great to have someone with such knowledge and experience do the job, the cost of labour smashes my budget which will need as much overtime as I can get to cover the cost of parts alone. The only tool I would need to buy, to do the job myself is an Angular Torque Gauge.

Did a leak down test using my mates compresser and found 2% loss on the right and 3% loss on the left, both through the cylinders. Nothing wrong with that.

10% is perfectly acceptable. Normally a leak down tester is set for 80 psi on the first gauge, and the leakdown is read on the second gauge. 80/70 or above is ok, cold. A normal good running engine will be 80/75 or 76.

I've talked with Charlie a lot. I'm equallt flummoxed by what might be wrong with hs machine. Usually G11's are pretty much invincible but his is doing really 'Weird Stuff'

I mapped the cam profile and found considerable differences between the two sides.
So, you put a dial indicator on a pushrod and a degree wheel on the crank and mapped lift at different angles of rotation and one side is considerably different than the other :?: Intake and exhaust? If so, it sounds to me that it's wiped a lobe on the cam or if both, the cam is out of time.

Degree wheel bolted to alternator drive pulley and dial indicater on valve top collars in line with valve stem.
