My left hand handlebar grip is moving about 2mm,which I find annoying (call me OCD).I notice the grip is on a black plastic inner tube around the actual handlebar. Is it possible to glue this to the bar,or is this a bad idea? Any alternative solutions?

Hehe… “Aquanet” days👍😁.

I think what @stromcat is referring to, is the actual plastic tube (that the grip itself is attached to) has a small amount of play. My left grip does that too, but almost imperceptibly - maybe a mm. Not an issue (for me)😉😁.

If it is a heated grip you may need adhesive for heated areas. Could be why it's loose, unless held on w/screw.
Happened to look in parts and says heated grips.
In the pic next to arrow is a cut-out in chrome next to rubber shoulder, usually associated with a screw down below covered up by rubber grip.

If it helps Gorilla Glue recommended their gel cynoacrylate for attaching my heated grips which haven't moved yet

Oxford heated grip come with Super Glue. Used it in both my Audace and Triumph. Both held tight. My V100 came with heated grips, I haven't tried them yet.
