Leg Heat Fix?

I have a 2012 Stelvio and have noticed the heat on my left leg. Part of the reason is that the left head is closer to your leg than the right. This really is not a huge issue, rode 300 km in 36 degree C heat the bike didn't miss a beat. Love the bike looking forward to many more years and miles of smiles from my Stelvio!

I read on another forum that a guy who did find the left cylinder heat uncomfortable fitted handlebar risers which allowed him to sit a bit further back and away from the offending cylinder. Problem solved.

I considered a Stelvio for my newest bike, but after the heat issues with the Breva, I decided on a Norge. The Norge has excellent heat control, which is great in the summer, but in the winter it'd be nice to have some heat. I made the mistake of riding the Breva in shorts once and darn near blistered my lower legs. And that was with the cat-con removed and header wrap on the pipes.

Just seeing this... I have to add that this is one of the most ludicrous statements I've ever seen/heard in journalism; "one very serious flaw." Hilarious.
As a former journalist, often those not familiar with anything other then modern I4's or Ducati twins (which quite honestly is most of them), grasp at straws to critique anything other then what they are most familiar with. Which (sorry to say) works for most riders reading it.
I too have well over 250k miles on big block Guzzi twins, with decent seat time on most every model, and never *ONCE* has the left cylinder been even remotely problematic.
Yes, heat is an issue on the newer engines due to strict Euro emission regs (and of course on a new motor, which most Press units arrive with low to zero miles - PR folks in this industry often don't get it), but it's well covered here on how to resolve the heat... and yes it does cost money sorry to say, with huge benefits in doing so outside of a cooler running engine.
