Lemans mark 1

looks genuine with the right carbs etc. but not all original as has some 'acceptable' after market mods like the seat and looks like a tarrozi fork brace
Questions I'd be asking would include frame numbers - these are on the web and can be checked with a fair amount of certainty though there are some disagreements around the edges.
Different wheels? No indicators or stems?
The rear tail light can vary - see brochures here http://www.thisoldtractor.com/guzzitech ... _tonti.htm

I see some of these have been answered by the seller. I'd go and have good look myself armed with the MkI frame and engine number ranges.

The frame number appears to correct from the numbers posted by owner but what should the engine numbers be?

google is your friend re the engine numbers - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moto_Guzzi_Le_Mans, but what you want to really know is that it is not a T3 with small valves - Le Mans cylinder heads have the inlet manifolds attached by 6mm bolts, on a small valve cylinder head the manifold is attached by 8mm bolts.

pfft, what would I know Pete - I'm standing on the shoulders of giants :p

Looks like it could be, Moz is right, check the engine and frame numbers, if they both start with VE then it's a Mk1 or 2. It's a 30 odd year old bike so obviously has some changes, few that stand out to me in a quick look - Mk2 or later alternator cover, no steering damper (Mk1's had them through the steering stem), locking petrol cap, Tarossi rearsets, Gaman seat. No problems with any of the mods, it just needs a tidy up if the numbers match. My Mk1 has more mods and I'm sure if I ever went to sell it that buyers would be asking the same or more questions.
