Lightening Clutch

Has anybody a solution for lightening the pull on the clutch levers. I have mild arthritis and have difficulty pulling in and holding the clutch lever for an extended period especially in heavy traffic conditions. I have come across after-market clutch slave cylinders for some bikes but haven't found any for MotoGuzzi. Appreciate your inputs.
 
Just out of curiosity, has anyone figured out what makes the clutch so heavy (on some)? I have a minor tendon issue in my left elbow and the clutch lever has become more of an issue.

The clutch lever pull on our Griso SE is roughly half as hard as the Stelvio.

Is it a cylinder sizing issue, or is there something else?

Hi,

I have written a topic about having a heavy clutch with my Griso 1200.
It seems that Guzzi lightened the spring of the clutch with later models.
Guzzi call this part(s) "Belleville springs" and toghether they form a kind of diafragm spring.
These parts aren't available as parts so you have to buy a complete new clutch.
That's expensive.

As it turns out, I lubricated the pivot and that was the problem. It's still a stiff clutch pull, but it's back to like when I got the bike and much better than it was yesterday.
 
Funny what a little lube will do eh?

Most of the effort (aside from the different clutch springs apparently) is due to the cost-focused (cheap) master cylinder/pump used on both the brake and clutch. If you want one-finger clutch and brake actuation, it can be had for a cost. I can't find the RCS link. I don't even know what RCS stands for. Was the link removed. I'm interested in getting my 09 Stelvio clutch to be easier to engage. Please tell me where that link is (if still available). Thank you.
