Looking at a ‘13 V7 for my daughter...

Hello, all-

First post. I’m looking at a 2013 V7 with about 12.5k miles for my daughter. She has ‘graduated’ from the Ninja she rode in college and wants something more sophisticated after returning from 5 months in Florence... Unlike her brother, I couldn’t talk her into a KLR, so here we are.

The bike seems solid, idles like a v-twin (I ride a V-Strom, aka the ‘Thunder Pig’). I’m just wondering if there are any deal-killer weak points that would be obvious in a visual inspection/test ride. Any and all advice is appreciated.

Cheers~Jeff

Well, Jeff, if you read the thread I just added to -- https://www.guzzitech.com/forums/threads/top-speed-35-mph.19412/page-2#post-151185 -- you might run like a mad man. :giggle:

But, I have two v7's -- a 2016 Stornello & 2017 V7 III -- and both have had zero issues. Zero. In fairness, I just bought the latter, but from my brother, so I know its history.

You obviously know motorcycles across the brand spectrum, and would, I think, spot any obvious no-go problems.

For anyone a bit intoxicated by things Italian -- and 5 months in Florence will make her permanently so! :) -- the V7 is, IMO, a great choice. Not sure what size Ninja she rode, but the V7's are not the quickest mounts out there, but they deliver lots of everything else.

I am, however, a besotted Italophile.

Best,

Bill
