If I'm in the market for a Tonti with a 1100 motor, I'd prolly want the newest model. Whats the last years for carburetor models or is the Fuel injection the way to go?

98 was the first year for all to have FI. It's been a very good system. Anything you buy used with carbs might have been messed with and you could spend a lot of time re-fixing it. 01,02 were the best sorted and updated for the solid lifters. 04 for the hydro's, maybe. Some hydros never got the fix.

Google will help you, however…
Guzzi moved largely to injection in ‘93 with the 1100i up to the ‘98 Cal EV. The only downside to them is they used a HUGE automotive type ECU… Which were slightly problematic, but many still out there running well. In ‘99, the only model brought into the States (technically speaking) was the Bassa. ‘99-12 models all use smaller dedicated 1.5X ECU. The models I’d highly recommend is the 2007-2012 Cal Vintage and naked Black Eagle. They both use the twin-plug Breva 1100 motor. Pretty bullet-proof machines outside of the plastic speedo/tacho. I’d personally steer clear of carb’ed models, but that’s me, and no one listens to me anyway.

FWIW: I absolutely ADORE my California Vintage and highly recommend it to anyone who will listen.

About 6 months a go a bike just like this was for sale on market place, not sure on the year but had a all black seat. It was around 3000 bucks, but talked myself down... I need another bike like a I need a hole in my head. I'm like a rat on a shiny nickel, just gotta have it. I have multiple bike disorder. Ive completed the first step. :)

😆

I’ve suffered this disease my whole life! The trick is to try to buy super clean high quality bikes that will hold or increase in value. 👌👍😀

I have seen V11 sport, on market place recently in the Miami area it’s the ketchup and mustard paint scheme, I think it’s about a 97 or 98. The owners messaged me said he’s coming back i the fall.

Assume you mean EV Touring? The V11 Sport is a Spine frame (like below). Hot Dog & Mustard was a '98 EV.
