I've always liked Supermotos, had a Road-legal IT465 in the mid-80s, then a SuperMoto'd CR500.
Then there was an early Triumph Tiger in Performance Bikes, one of their 'Reader's Specials' they use to feature each month years ago, thought it was one of the best looking Bikes I'd ever seen, it simply had 3-Spoked Wheels off one of the Triumph Road Bikes (595?).

Anyway, when I got my Stelvio, I knew I wanted to do the same, so I looked out for second-hand Griso Wheels.
Picked a pair up off ebay fairly soon after buying the Bike.
Had to get the Front Hub machined down slightly, so I could machine a pair of Spacers to match the Discs to the Caliper spacing on the Stelvio (4mm difference each side).
FrontDiscSpacersAdaptors

Bought an Aprilia ABS sensor Ring for the Front, the Stelvio one screws to the Disc, the Aftermarket Disc I got doesn't have that facility.

Had to Drill and Tap the Rear Wheel to take a Stelvio Sensor Ring, Grisos don't have ABS, surprisingly.
RearDisc
Also made the Rear Disc, couldn't find what I wanted anywhere.

Almost ready to fit now, just need to drill a few holes in the rear Disc ,and sort out the front Mudguard.
Bought a CBR1000RR clone one, it's pretty close to the Griso in size/shape, just needs a couple of small adaptor brackets making to mount it to the Stelvio Forks.

Nice. I laced up a 3.5 x 18 front rim to mate to the older 5.5 x 17 Stelvio rear rim, for a matched sporting Z-rated rubber. Love this combo.

For an easier route (though certainly more expensive) know that I can have a set of Kineo tubeless spoked wheels made with a 3.5 x 17 front, and 4.5 or 5.5 x 17 rear for bolt on and go.

I did consider fitting a 17" Rim to the original Hub, but I like the option of having the two entirely separate pairs to swap between.
Rim and Spokes would have cost a fair bit more than the second-hand Wheel though.
Also means I can fit some 'serious' Off-Road Tyres on the Spoked set for a bit of 'Green-Laning' when I get the chance, without having to 'compromise' on my Road-based fun!

Understood. I bought the cast stock wheel set for a more off-road set, and I bought a set of black hubs to mate the new rim to (shown in my avatar pic). I have a stock silver set of hubs here in a box for anyone so interested in purchasing them.
