Hi Im new to this forum I have a 2012 in orange with the cast wheels I live near York in the UK. Have been reading this forum since I got the bike found it very informative. I have just bought some MG engine bars as the Hepko becker ones do not fit the 32L tank model. None of the holes lined up with the ones on the engine so I had to enlarge them, also the instructions say to use existing bolt that hold the engine covers on but the 2012 model does not have engine covers so I had to find an extral M10 bolt. Has anybody eles had this problem? I wouldnt mind if the bars were cheap but at £215 I am not very impressed.

I had the same problem when I purchased my 2010 model, the MG factory bars would not fit.I could get almost 2 bolts to line up but not 3.Spoke to another owner and he had the same drama but he used levers and tie downs to get his to fit.
I did not want to do that as I did not want to strain the Stainless bolts in the alloy casting.Plus why should I they are not cheap, they should be right.

So I complained to the National Distributors JSG who said to come out with them and they would try another pair out of the box, they did not fit either !
At that point two of the then new NTX models had arrived in the country by air frieght and JSG were kind enough to remove the bars from one the brand new bikes to fit to mine.
And they fitted with out pushing and shoving, the instructions are good and all bolts are supplied.

The crash bars and most of the other Guzzi Stelvio accessories are made by SW Motech I was told,so it would seem they (not Guzzi) have a quality control problem .To me it seems like the either welding jig is out of alignment or just bad workmanship

Nice to see someone not pouring shit on the importer for a change Brett. No, they aren't perfect but I have had, in eight or so years, one instance where stuff wasn't dealt with in a manner I thought satisfactory. I suppose it all depends on expectations.

BTW. I got a head replacement under goodwill on an 8V that was out of warranty by nearly two years last week. Try that with Honda or BMW!

When I ordered them they were not in stock but they came from Italy in 5 days. Very pleased with that.
Does anybody know if the engine casing has been change if the new NTX bars fitted ok it would suggest the holes in the engine have been moved slightly
