At bout 3000kms my bike developed a minor "tic". I figured it was a valve issue and had it looked at 7000kms as it wasn't getting worse. at 9500kms I replaced the oem pipes with Agostino’s. Obviously, the bike ran differently and popped a bit on deceleration. After a long trip in super warm weather, the "tic" got way worse. I decided to do the valve job to no avail. I had a shop look at it and they told me it was a worn valve sleeve.

Ok I had them replace the sleeve. They also proceed to plug the to little supplemental air lines with little ball bearing. Apparently, this is supposed to help with the heat and premature valve sleeve wear issue. I was a little surprized, but hey.... I'm not a mechanic. I took the bike out riding and it runs so lame, sluggish and pops on deceleration a lot! I just took the ball bearings out and it runs better, but I am back to square one.

I live in Edmonton Canada and there is no one anywhere close who can tune it. So what’s the alternative? I looked at the FatDUC’s, but after reading a bit, it sounds like a 300$ (CND with shipping) mistake. I also read about a beetle tune…? IDK I emailed a fellow name Mark. Sounds like this is not his first rodeo.

Has anyone gone through this process… I’m worried to bow my bike or wreck something. I this easy. Can anyone do this. If this goes south, I’m on my own in the sticks!

Sammy, there are several threads here in this section on fueling and performance mods. All the other items are frankly garbage, and have made the ECUs on the 1400 useless, as they are very sensitive to this type of devices and software. As John says above, please click on the STORE link above and sort by section and model.
Also per the paragraphs at the top of every page (please read them), which says it's important to SEARCH and READ before starting a new topic as this as all been covered here at length. This post will be merged or deleted within 24 hours.
