mirror vibration

I see folks going to a lot of effort to cure mirror vibration here.
Really...the easiest fix is to replace the stock crap with the Sport 1200 mirrors. Cheap, quick and looks just fine. The chrome stock ones (crap) rust easy anyway. I got mine from Moto International in Seattle (US) 206.297.3822. I don't remember the price as I ordered some other stuff at the same time, but I remember being surprised how little it was.

Out of curiosité, what's the most straightforward way to fill the bars with lead (or sand, I presume)? Take them off the risers?

Rene,
I have heard of pounding sand. But in your handlebars?? :silly:  :silly:

Hi all,

I know that i'm resurrecting an "old" post, but in addition to the mirrors from the Sport 1200, one can also use the mirrors from the Piaggio MP3 series bikes (e.g., 250, 400 & 500). I have switched out few mirrors and since MG is a Piaggio company, shouldn't be an issue at all. Good place to find folks selling them is at the Modern Vespa website.

The mirrors on radlefty's red 2V Norge (in photos above) are also fitted to the 8V Norge, and from my experience they don't suffer from vibration at any revs. They are common to a variety of Aprilias. And not being chromeplated, they don't rust.
