Hi everbody!
New to the forum and new owner of a 2010 v7 racer.
Just ordered a set of mistral mufflers and crossover and was wondering if i have to do something with fuelling to keep it from running lean..?

Ron.

No, just put them on and run 'em. The bike will sound better and have a little more power. No other changes, ie: fuel mapping or timing needed.

Ron, congrats on the V7R and welcome to GT.

All of the new models are fueled very lean for Euro emission specs (as delivered). You can likely get away with keeping the stock fueling, however, there is a big benefit in improving the fueling.
While low-speed fueling (only) is crudely adaptive (closed-loop via the narrow band OEM 02-sensor), it will hold the extremely lean set mixture. Higher RPM and throttle position are still static/open loop.
Increased flow to intake and/or exhaust means a bigger reason to revise the fueling, and with it comes smoother/cooler running, and more power of course.
Details on the options here; https://www.guzzitech.com/forum/208/2686.html

This is the equivalent of a jet kit when modifying carb'ed bikes, which people never hesitated doing because they knew the benefit. Nowadays it's more complex and expensive, but it can be done to extremely precise settings (highly dynamic revisions in real-time with AutoTune).

Happy to help you get it sorted when ready, reach me direct e-mail; Todd at GuzziTech.com

If nothing else, at least get Todd to flash your ECU. Great investment. Makes your bike run like it should.

Hey,
I been riding my V7 cafe with mistrals, by-pass and no baffles since new (2010) and 20000 km....no reprograming of any kind and the bike is doing pretty good....maybe you would gain something....but if you want something powerfull, small blocks are not the right thing.....
