Hi All. Writing as Motoguzziman..... complicated story, anyway to the important stuff !
I had promised Larry, that I would go & see the National Motorcycle Museum, in Anamosa Iowa.
Then, While talking to Doug Easton, back in his workshop, in Evanston Wyoming , He mentioned the National Guzzi Rally is to be held in Elkader Iowa.
After doing some googling, It looked like thunderstorms for Fri Sat & Sun of the rally, and I remember one time the rally got hit by a flash flood, and even the trailer with the new Guzzi models, got destroyed.
So, I got a room for 4 nights, in Manchester Iowa, its just off route 20, and just about in the middle of the 2 events.
I rode the 31 miles to Anamosa, and took 90 odd piccys.
Ok, it would be easier, if either the museum was larger, or they had less exhibits.
Because quite often, its impossible to get a good photo, of whatever bike etc you want a picky of.
Anyway, I have sent the 90 piccys to Momma, she is working tomorrow, so I do not know when she will have then blog ready, but she will probably put a link in for you.
Tomorrow Im going to Elkader .... for the rally.
Actually I met a couple of the rally leaders, at the museum today, as they were checking out the most scenic routes, to & from the Museum, for a group ride out, from Elkader.
Brian from GT motors, has been in touch, so Ill be meeting him, on his Millle GT, dunno if Larry is going to be there, But I assume so.
Larry sells tons of bike books, vintage & modern, at shows & rallys all over the USA, while running the Guzzi Workshop, in Lansing Michigan.
Anyway, as usual, Ill try, to get as many interesting photos as I can, and Momma will post them as and when.
Take Care Out There
