I visited this dealership today in North Georgia, just outside Dahlonega. Wayne Orwig told me about it and mentioned they were going to rent Guzzis. I have never heard of a place in the states that rents anything but Harleys or BMWs, so it was quite interesting to see a couple Norges with "rent me" signs on them. They also had KLRs, an Aprillia Mana and Shiver, and told me that they would probably start renting the Vintage. I think, eventually, they want to rent all of the Guzzi and maybe Aprillia models, but that's sometime down the road if the plan works out.

A 2007 Griso and one or two Brevas, also new '07s were deeply discounted, and the only current Guzzi I didn't notice was the Nevada.

I think the rental idea is a good one, and I hope they succeed. The area around Dahlonega has some of the best riding to be found, so if any of you want to travel without your Guzzi and have something decent to rent, you might want to check these folks out.

I plan to go back there for a couple days and rent bikes for maybe a half day each. It's impossible to really get the feel for a motorcycle on a typical "test ride" but renting for three or four hours is a much better solution.

The automatic transmission Mana might be fun, you know, just to try out;)
