New V7 Stone Owner 2013-14 UK

The bike has had a remap, but as I only changed the end cans I haven't bothered. The air filter is still stock so the ecu should sort it out....
Which remap, and why think that the stock fueling system will "sort it out?" The stock system is delivered with horrifically lean Euro-3 emission parameters, so even bone stock is horrendous. Changing the flow will make things even worse, so best not to stick your he'd in the sand over it. Just FYI.
 
Todd, do you need a remap/flash with the Mistrals that Tony has upgraded on the bike?? Are you saying that a remap is a must if after market cans are installed? please could you clarify?
 
thanks Todd, i'll get it checked out. The decel popping is worse with the cans, but i thought this was just because they were less 'muted'
 
I have had no problems with the long Mistral silencers....everything else left as standard. The engine is a little rough at low revs for the first mile but it was like that with the standard silencers.
From what I have read (please correct me if I am wrong) the fuel in US is of a lower calorific value than in Europe so engines tend to run slightly lean which makes a remap is more important.
