Hello to All,

I've had my 2013 V7 Stone (black) for almost a year now and just passed 5,000 mi. This is my first Moto Guzzi (still have my 1996 R850R) and I really love it. While the V7 continues to grow on me everyday I am thinking about making a few modifications and was hoping to get some advice/suggestions. I'm not very handy so I'm not looking to do anything ambitious but I would like to do the following:
1) add bar-end mirrors to my existing stock handlebars... any suggestions around style and fit would be appreciated
2) adjust the footpegs... is it possible to install rear sets with the Stone's stock exhaust? (I once test rode a V7 Racer and it felt more comfortable to me)

Thank you.

Joe

Joe, welcome to the Forum and congrats on the V7S. Hope you can add your bike to the Registry page.

Footpegs: I can't see any reason there is any difference between the '13 pipes and the older versions, so yes, the V7R rear sets will bolt on. Problem is, they seem to be un-obtanium. I have a second option on the Store link above for now under "Other Bits." I'm likely going to make some to sell as well, that will be nearly identical to the Racer, for hopefully cheaper.
Also, if you upgrade, I'm interested in your take-offs if you want to sell them.

Reach me direct e-mail for more info; Todd at GuzziTech.com

On the bar end mirrors, I used the Triumph Thruxton kit. I had to drill out the holes a little as the Guzzi bar end bolts are a bit larger but it is a very good fit and they work well. I did not want to spend the big bucks on the high dollar stuff. They stay in position, I can actually see out of them and they look sharp. They do make the bike a little wide however. :D

For rearsets look to Sato Racing, Baak Moto (a French company), and also a firm in the Orient whose name escapes me. All will be expensive, but comfort has no price, right?

I understand Gold Wing pegs also fit, and give a little more room. Could try a used set of those just to see the feel.

Can't really help with those particular questions. But IF you want to consider non-bar-end mirrors, then might I also suggest you consider the OEM ones from the 1200 Sport.
