When I first start the bike - the dash lights come on, but after about 10 seconds they go off. Then riding down the road at night the dash / instrument panel is totally dark / useless. Everything else seems to be fine. Is there a menu setting I need to change? Thanks in advance

On the front of the right side switch-gear on the handlebars is a switch, flip it opposite of where it is now.

I have just gotten delivery of my Eldorado and am new to Moto Guzzi. Is the instrument panel light supposed to light up at all times or only when the lights are switched on?

Yes, the instrument panel only shows when the headlights are on, except for the brief time at switch on.

What you should also observe is the LED running lights in the headlight are much brighter when the headlight is switched off. I believe it makes your motorcycle more visible with the headlights off, but this is only my opinion.

Try it and see what you think.

I agree with that. The Daylight riding light is very bright even in the day and works better without the headlights. I normally use this as opposed to turning on the headlights.
