Hallo all,

I heve been riding my griso with much fun and as i read here on the forum that the 68s mapping makes it even more fun i went to my dealer and got the new mapping. As the bike was still warm as i started it there for the testride no problem occured. The nex day i tryd to start her up but the bike wouldn't idle at more than 900 rpm ,if i didn't use the throttle, and stall. :( Is there anything the dealer should have done after the new mapping was loaded ? TPS reset or something like that. Usualy the steppermotor would keep the idle stable but i can't notice it anymore.

The 68s mapping makes the ride much smoother when at constant speed :cheer: it's like all rhe rough edges are smoothed out so i'm liking it better than my old.

As John says above, but make it that the TPS *must* be checked/reset, not should. ;)

My TPS was 4.8 before the 068 MAP update.

After the 068 MAP update, it went up to 5.7

As Todd said, TPS reset is a “must” to bring it back to 4.8 after the update.

Generally speaking the TPS value will go much higherthan 5.7. On most of the bikes I've done its more like 10.2 or something. Yes. If the reptraining isn't done the bike sill be a pig. this is what led to a host of Belfast Dave's problems early in the piece although that was compouned by the 'Service agent' who worked on his bike being botha cro-magnon and an isiot.

When Kym picked up his 8V from me my Nagrivator was dead and on the boat somewhere between here and Italy. It had the #68 map in but was horribly cold blooded. When my tool came back he dropped back up and I re-ballanced the TB's and re-loaded the map and re-set the TPS even though it was spot on and that seems to have cured the cold start hissy-fits. Go figure???

Got the TPS reset today and it cured the problem. Stepper motor kicks in and the bike idles pefect. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Too bad the weather is starting ot get worse

@gulveal: The navigator software showed it was a 68s maybe it makes a diference?

Mine came up with the following number using Ducatidiag:
2229GRS8V68

I have just re-balanced the TBs and reset the TPS and reset the Auto-adjust parameters. I also tightened the jubilee clips around the inlet manifold pipes again, though I am wary about overdoing them.

I am going away tomorrow for ~1000 mile trip :D, so I will see how it is!
