noise originating from strut above Cardo Shaft

I have recently bought a Griso 850cc (2006) with only km.17,000 on the clock. Overall, I am very happy with my bike, but there is one nagging noise that annoys me. This is a metallic noise that seems to originate from the connection of the strut above the Carc Shaft unit that anchors to the frame. I have been told that this is a design defect that was corrected on the 2007 models onwards. This correction consists of the introduction of rubber bush assembly to cushion the jerk, hence noise. I am aware that a kit is available for pre 2007 models but I cannot seem to find out where it can be obtained

HELP Please.....

The part you refer to is a silentbloc bush. Its a composite metal rubber bush designed to cushion shock loads. Later stelvio models had them fitted as standard as an upgrade to the standard metal bush you have now. They have to be pressed in to the torque arm. Get them from a guzzi part supplier.
Are you sure that's the problem though? do you have a clunk noise when you release the clutch at slow speed? If so you may have the same problem as my 1200 sport, have a look at the 1200 sport section on this site.
